Please note retreat guidance will not be available during 2019.

Arrival time is between 3-6pm.  Departure time is 10am.

If you would like guidance during your retreat this can be arranged, on a daily basis, or as required. More information about what is involved can be found here “Spiritual Companion”.

If you are arriving by car the post code is TQ9 6NZ and Directions are here. If you are arriving by train, taxis are available at the station. It takes about 10 minutes and costs about £10. You can alternatively take the steam train to Staverton, it will take longer, and you will have a 5 minute walk from the station, but it has been done!.

There are two rooms at Retreat by the Dart, they are both self-catering.
Click here for “Stables” and here for “Coach Room”. As the rooms are self-catering please follow the link “Food/Eating”, so that you know what is available to you locally whilst you are here.”

There is wi-fi internet access in the room, the code is kzqX5xbj. You will need to make a conscious choice as to whether you use it or not.

The mobile phone signal is poor, although you can get a signal outside the driveway. In an emergency it is possible to use the landline in the main house.
The number is 01803 762977.

There is a dog, Selkie, resident in the main part of the house. We cannot  accommodate other dogs or pets at Retreat by the Dart.
Please bring indoor shoes or slippers, as a protection for the wood floors. I would also suggest bringing wellingtons or sturdy walking boots, it gets muddy along the river bank at any time of year!

During your stay you are welcome to join in 20 minutes of meditation/silent prayer at 8.30am and 5.30pm in the prayer cabin.

On departure, it would be helpful if you ensure that the room is left clean and tidy (there are cleaning materials and a broom in the room). Please also strip the bed and bring the bedding and towels round to the main house before leaving.
